Next Zoom July 13th

The next film to be discussed on Wednesday, July 13th at 6:30pm will be FIRE ISLAND. FIRE ISLAND is a classic rom-com tale of love and class-consciousness inspired by Jane Austen’s "Pride and Prejudice." Written and starring actor-comedian Joel Kim Booster, the story features Noah (Booster), a perpetually horny and hunky heartbreaker, and Howie, his socially anxious best friend who believes against the island's culture that love and sex actually belong in the same bed (Howie played by Saturday Night Live's Bowen Yang). The two besties and their quirky band of pleasure-seeking friends spend a week in the legendary queer paradise at the amazing home of surrogate mother, Erin, a loopy lesbian played by Margaret Cho. Can be streamed on Hulu.

Chillfest is partnering with Stonewall National Museum & Archives (SNMA) for a monthly Film Club. Chillfest programmers, John Catania and Charles Ignacio select films for members to screen at home and then meet on Zoom to discuss and critique. Zoom link information will be provided after joining the group.
